Is the insurance quote no different for a Motorsport even though it's one insurance group higher?

yeah zayyan its about Ԛ£80 more which out of Ԛ£700 is probably quite a high percentage, but as Im 20 I thought, just under Ԛ£800 isn't bad to be insuring a motorsport in my own name.

Hey motorsport, I got my quote for a M'sport with Adrian Flux and they never mentioned anything about classic car insurance. Is that limited miles? They saying Ԛ£497 for me - I'm 26, and I didn't think that was to bad...Tesco wanted over a grand!

Yeah 1500 miles and garaged, however you can pay extra for more mileage. Mine only comes out when sunny though so 1500 does me.

classic is the way to go .

i pay 360 fully comp with zero ncb as its on my other car .

wife also on it and has only been driving 2 yrs.

limited to 10000 miles which is plenty and and agreed value so if it pinched or written off you get what its worth not the stupid book price.

the less miles you limit yourself to the cheaper it is

hey william, just wondering which insurance company you are with as thats a really gd quote, im paying Ԛ£800 for a snot bag bog standard E36 316i and am 20 too. I got a quote on an E30 320is @ Ԛ£1800 which i think is reasonable considering i only have 1 yrs ncb at the moment, its deffinately gonna have to be the next car!

Andy, you've gotta let me know when you sell it. I remember the first time you came on the zone, my heart was set on having a car like yours (or your car to be precise). If yours came up for sale I WOULD sell the sport to buy it!

Hi Emtree, its a long and involved process, but basically I've a had 318i since I was 18 and was (am) insured with Norwich Union on their rapid bonus scheme (1yrs NCB after 9mths). So by September I will have 3yrs NCB, 3yrs driving experience, PassPlus (what a fookin joke that is) and Advanced Driver. Adrian Flux rekon thats good enough to quote me Ԛ£800 TPFT on a Motorsport, about Ԛ£700 on a standard 325 cab - probably about Ԛ£500 on a tintop non-sport. It would be even cheaper under Classic Car cover, but you have to be 21 for that, so next years renewal should be seriously cheap.

I don't know what to advise for you without knowing your history (my license is clean etc) but I do know that AF for me are about Ԛ£600 ahead of everyone else.

Hope this helps

No BUG4LIFE I didn't. Saw the ad and seriously thought about it buts a fair way away from me so my indecision meant I didn't go. What about you? Would be interested to know about it if you have

I talked to the owner Will, and he sounded cool enough - was a mechanic or something. The car is such a good price though [with good miles] that it does make you wonder? He either really needed to get the car sold, doesn't know a Motorsports worth or something dodgy?!

I'm sure its all fine, though I forgot to ask if its still got the original hood and hood motor. He said its had a re-spray before he got it too, and as he got some tech knowledge you would expect it to be in good condition?
