How good are M3's to drive?
Moderator: martauto
i have a 320is and a m3 and the m3 is totally different way more precise more focused and more torque. it is hard to imagine the difference until you have driven both. the 320is is a great car but the m3 is way above it in every level.
I have mixed views of how good they are to drive. When mine was standard it was pretty good to drive and could have been used as a daily but didnt handle as well as it should have.
Since I have made a few additiond its one of the best handling cars Ive ever driven and sticks to the road like s**t to a blanket......puts a massive grin on my face but couldnt drive it everyday.....it doesnt like to be sat in traffice and is very stiff.

Having driven about in these shit standard ones for the best part of 18 months it is much better. traffic is a mare I agree. They just need to be driven.Falkster wrote:I have mixed views of how good they are to drive. Bollocks to this 24v scrap!
I take it ur m3 is back on the road Bob?
If you fancy a blast out in it there is someone in North Wales who has never even seen an M3 in the flesh apart from passing one in the road. I would probably make a bit of a mess if you brought it over!
Hell I might even fire up to yours for a gander!

Wanted: Any old component speakers, complete or separate parts, let me know what you got
I've drove the E36 M3 Evo. Nice car, quick, but surprisingly not that nice to drive. Fun though.
I've always wanted the opportunity to talk to an E30 M3 owner properly and have a gander over the car. Would die to drive one too!

Uni is killing the project.

They are a great car to drive on country roads or long journeys continually putting a smile on your face , but they can be a pain in traffic and around town !
But saying that, thats not what they were built for

I've an '89 M3...great on country roads, but everything happens above 4,000 revs so you have to thrash it. Not that powerful compared to a modern car but sounds so much better. But boring and noisy on motorways. Looks damn good at all speeds.

the nearest place whe i could drive my BM is M11, but unfortunately its a bit expensive to take it there and back evry week end so , i've changed my suspension set up (put diff srings and shoks, ,) the ride hight is diff, yes ,it's more comfie, it was too stiff, and too low , so it was the nightmire to drive it in town,
and my tyres were gone in few southand miles , so i had anough.
