Coming to the realisation that i dont use my E30 enough to justify its existence.
Do I try and sell it complete (still MOT'd i think) or do I break it for spares in the hope of making a little more.
(325i track car btw - stripped / lsd / cage etc)
what would you do? never "broken" a car before but how hard can it be? or does it become more hassle than its worth with ebay and people calling for bits etc?
not trying to offend anyone just curious as to what others think....
should I sell complete or break it?

you can either have a load of hassle from tyre-kickers and scummers on one whole item
or you can have a load of hassle from parts kickers and scummers on a lot of parts which will bring you a few quid at a time.
I hate selling anything so will happily just leave cars in the drive until I fancy driving them again

Bollocks to this 24v scrap!
LOL and I thought I was a sceptic.
TBH the motivation for the sale is the BMW sits in the garage doing v little...whilst my much newer daily driver sits in the drive - and was broken in to a few weeks back...
what a dilemma....

If it's in good condition, don't break it, too many are
Get some pic's up with a decent write up and post up an advert on here
You could be saving another one from being stripped, work already one

depends on whats all on it to make it worth the hassle of breaking although a track car might prove more difficult to sell anyway for a decent price complete.
possibly consider torching it to claim the insurance after salvaging the good bits to sell as an option

6 point omp bolt in - but welded in at feet.

sell complete .
your time will be sucked dry by having to remove clean and wrap and post the parts on there own and your taking another good car off the road.
it might just what some one is looking for

I have just broke a car, and got more than twice what i was trying without luck, to sell it for. However it was a ball ache packaging each thing up, sending bits to Thailand and everywhere else in the world.
I'd always try and sell complete first tho.
Wasn't hard to brake it tho, 3 guys, 6 hours and a load of tools and i was left with a massive pile of parts.
