I dont ride or even have a bike,if you spent as much time around as i have you begin too hate the things!!
D6dph,small world hey!where abouts do you work,i am in Shenfield near Brentwood.
We are really busy too, most companies we deal with have sold out of high end product early this year, mainly as they brought less bikes into the uk this year and more demand.
I don't ride much these days but can't be wthout a bike. Kinda a love hate relationship
BMX has been massive this year,we do Mongoose, Wethepeople and GT,brings in all the local oiks, bless them, they do spend money though!

Currently a bus driver, it's a steady and most importantly secure job, pay is ok and the other drivers are a bunch of nutters which livens things up a bit.
Used to be a mechanic, Lab assistant, delivery driver, engine assembly chimp

Working as a Senior Web Developer... after running my own web design / hosting business for ~7 years that was increasingly becoming more and more difficult to keep afloat, I got offered a position within a small graphic design firm a few months ago. Maybe small but have big clients (BBC, Royal Opera House, Stagecoach, etc) so should be secure. Currently in the middle of building 2 small sites for "big screen" actors. Certainly being kept busy.
Outside of work, I'm either messing with motors (soon to be building a classic Mini project) or coding either more websites or windoze applications in C++ (ok ok, I'm a bit of a geek! heh) and have recently started to take more photographs, which is proving to be quite a relaxing hobby in comparison to my others
Regards,
Ian

Great thread.
Lots of variation, it helps to give an idea of what some of you are like.
I am self employed, working in Museums, fabricating the structures which hold the objects on display. Interesting work as you never really know what will emerge from the next box.

Freelance Creative (this means I think up stuff) currently in Advertising but traditionally all thing design/visual. Have spent the bulk of my career working on building Sports Brands across Europe and in the USA (NIKE/adidas/EA Sports & Powerade) though have worked recently on Coca-Cola, Vodafone and Toyota.
However, I am currently reading a book that is aligned with my belief that increasingly in this day and age, we are never happier than when doing/fixing/making things with our hands - Amazon it - 'Shop Work as Soul Craft'
I think offices are killing us emotionally and spiritually if not physically, which is why I also Snowboard, MTB, Surf and Golf more than I should be allowed lol. Blasting my 1983 Kawasaki Z650 now and again is also good for the soul.
My first love will always remain football - more even than M42's and Orange Indicators.
So far the only trend appears to be that everyone has been doing whatever for '12 years'
