I think I'll hold off of buying more wheels just yet, I'll email that company and see what they can do. Got to be worth spending £100+ to save a proper set of wheels I think?
Please tell me I'm doing the right thing? I have my card here ready to order some new ones
I've got two I was planning on putting down there anyway(little flat spots on them) and wanted them to take a look to see if they can do anything with them.
Offer's there if you want to take advantage of it fella.

Exactly as I'm feeling. Anyone want a mint white convertible with genuine C2.7 bottom end? It'll be running before I sell though.d6dph wrote:Ok so selling up may be a bit drastic but I just feel so annoyed. It's like the car hates me lately!
Before you ask, I really am thinking about it! I have f*ck all time these days to give it the time it deserves. better of out of it rather than suffer the frustration I reckon.

Bugger about the wheels Dave.
I had a buckled wheel on my Pug sorted by a guy not far from me, he had wheels that looked beyond repair, anything from BBS style wheels for a cosworth that were totally buggered to bike wheels that were knackered too. And mostly every wheel got sorted, and a bloody good job too.
If you were a little closer I'd come and try and fix it for you!! you've put too much effort into it to get rid of it before getting it going
Just think of the finished article!!
Back to your wheels Dave....

Dave, your wheels'll be fine to get you to the councildrome, but I'm sure someone'll lend you some if you're really worried.
Wonder what I'll break on the way there?!
I'd persevere with finding some RDs - they really suit the car.

Seriously, Hit the f3ckers with a massive stick.
I once de-pacmanned and de-buckled some Golf Rallye wheels with judicious use of the back of an axe. Ran better than before I stuck them through a ditch...

put them in the bin and get some real rims

or the only real five spoke rims for an E30...

seriously, did they try rotating the tyres on the rim to match high and low spots??
the BBS copies then came on my sport were super wobbly, tried to balance it out with weights but no use, then i found one place that used a laser sighted balancing machine, they checked the rim and the tyres on each wheel, then rotated the tyre on the rim to find the best possible place.... and hey presto no more wobbles!! this ofcourse does not work if the rims are bent left ot right, but just to give you an idea my rims had a run off of about 0.7cm, but after rotation they run fine as speeds upto 140kph.

sorry to hear about it i would get onto the person who sold you them

Hello,
I have a pair of 5 stud racing dynamics for the M3 I sold recently and lost one of the centre caps. I am going to sell them but would like to have all the badges when I advertise them.
If you are scrapping yours could I purchase these items? Depending on the size etc...
Thanks
Tim

Right now to update this, I may have had another little result.
A local guy I know who races E30s called me at work today about parts for the race car, I thought I'd ask him if he knew anyone locally who could repair the wheel. The guy does servicing and repairs on Ferraris and Maseratis on a day to day basis and I know some of his customers have a distinct lack of driving talent so he may have a guy to repair his wheels.
Well he does, In the unit opposite! Apparently Dave (Must be good, has a proper name
) has worked wonders for Dan previously and he will be looking at my wheel in the next few days.
Dan (my customer) is collecting the wheel tomorrow so I should know within the next couple of days.
I have been speaking to a zoner who has 6 wheels that he is willing to part with for the right money, So I have this as a reserve but at the moment I just don't have that much spare cash to spend.
Zaust has also PMd me some details of a guy he has used so that's yet another avenue.
Chris_w knows someone who may be able to help.
And of course BadDave has very very kindly offered to deliver the wheel to Ace wheel repairers on his way back from Le Mans.
All is not lost people, There is still hope for this sorry old turd.

Dave,
I had 2 sets of these at the same time, I made the best set of the 2 and flogged the others for a fair whack from memory. he was going to put them on an Alfa with wobble bolts. (4x108) The ones I got off Simon did have flat spots, but they balanced fine and are on the golf now.

Look better, but my tyres are a bit on the small size!
