How many Tech 1 Sport owners on here??
Moderator: martauto
Just out of interest, been wondering how many are about on this forum?
Having owned both a lachs silver tech 2 some years ago and a black tech 1 sport a few years later, it seems that more and more tech 2 sports are coming up for sale and very little in the way of the older sport..
Opinions may be divided on which is the 'prettier' of the two, im swaying towards a nice clean tech 1 in black, like my old one...
Again was just wondering how many are about as you dont see many M Tech 1 sports on the roads nowadays!

Your right, there are more tec2s around. Most of the tec1s have rusted away by now.

Oh yes its a shame. I own a tech 2 now. Ive had a fair amount of tech 1s but unfortunately the tin worm had attacked them badly. I found that series one was prone to rust in some nasty places, the series two however seemed to be a bit better. Not saying they dont rust just not as bad. This is the reason why I personally own a tech 2 now was looking long term with minimal amounts of welding. So far so goodmadaboutthe30 wrote:Your right, there are more tec2s around. ive seen tech2s with worse rust than my present tech1... but them my previous 2 tech1s were completely rottenmadaboutthe30 wrote:Your right, there are more tec2s around. Most of the tec1s have rusted away by now.
A good tech 1 is a rare and wonderful thing!

Im not keen on this, if they are getting rare and desirable, i wont be ble to afford one, and i want one before that happens.
They are allowed to get rare and expensive when i have one.
WAIT.

RSTurbo50 I recall you saying another thread that you purchased a tec 2????
Make sure you check under your tec 2 for any rust as those tec2 sometimes house a few gremlins under there!

325isporttech1 you may want to decrease the size of your aviator mate lol
Mind you its a tec 1, so in my eyes you can get away with it lol
If I were to buy another coupe it would definetley be a tec1 as oppose to a tec 2

I've got two, one of which had to be scrapped because it was so rotten, and the other (which is my daily driver) is a total rotter also.
Rear arches, roof, sills, doors, the lot. All pretty rusty. Living the dream.
Tech 1.. Old School Cool
