I am am the proud owner of a 89 Cab having just spent 6 months overhauling her and getting it ready for the summer. Ok its a 320i but I was happy with it unitill that is my mate with a 325i E30 threw me his keys.
The result, the cab will be up for sale soon so look out for one of those whats it worth threads and I will soon be on the hunt for a suitable 325i.
Bugger!

Whay not just swap the 2.0 Litre Engine for a 2.5 Litre ?
It's a very very easy conversion. Probably a lot less hassle/cost than getting a 325i and doing all the bits to it to get it the way you want it.

I had the same problem - Happily drove a 318i for years, then had a go in a 325 touring!
£4300 worse off, but there was no going back.

or a 3.5!
don't forget that the most valuable part of an E30 is a good shell. Everything else just bolts to it.

Plus, with you car being a cabby you wont have to go through the hassle of upgrading the rear brakes and front struts. 2.5 it. It makes sense...
Not in E30s any more
