Apparently its very dangerous for daily use and should not be driving on the public road.

Oh dear! Just like the "318iS vs 325i" debate, this will progress into tit for tat!

Shall i get the popcorn?

'Apparently' its not that noticable at speeds above 30mph but parking can make the back skip all over the shop, also ive heard storys of dangerous understeer at low speeds.

In the wet you make sure you fit a wiper to your passenger window! And take clean boxers

As the ladies off trampdrift will atest I was massively against them, I even went out in papercutouts car with one so that he could convince me otherwise. To be fair it wasn't AS bad as I was expecting. Its not that noticeable on sweeping bends, but anything tight and its just silly. If the car does less than 2000 road miles and lots of drift days(note drift days not trackdays!) then I guess they are 'useable.'

They will make the car understeer, than snap into massive oversteer. If thats what you want fit one.

Welding the diff makes the wheels stop being able to turn indipendently?

my 325i has one

i drove it 115 miles home on the motor way no problems, parking takes a bit longer, round abouts it wasw fine corners it was ok the wheels skip abit and the rear tyres wear down quicker but they do when drifting any way.

its like a bike bike really it can be used fine but if you are driving like a tit in the wrong werther or place it will bite you on the ass.

long as its welded right i don't see a problem from now on i will always have a welder on any trampy rwd car i own.

but its your car and only you can decide i would get a spair / 2nd hand diff welded fit it and try it for 2 weeks and see what you think i had some grate fun when i 1st got mine
