what in your opinion is the holy grail of all e30,s
Is it the first or last one off the production line or an early tech 1 sport or later tech 2 sport or alpina ,hartage ,ac schnitzer .m3 ,ect ect

i only ask as I'm all ready planing another resto and i want it to be ultimate e30 this may be years away but it will probably take that long to source the daddy or mummy of all e30,s

thanks in advance for all you comments

I'd like a nice 325iX Touring with sports leather and aircon, preferably with 4 electric windows, heated seats and cruise control but I guess I could add those later :)

LHD isn't a problem.

holy grail?

got to be a any e30 with zero rust an engine that runs sweet as a nut (& won't overheat or breakdown).

has all the toy's.

& most important is that it won't ever let you down & is allway's there to put a smile on your face at the end of a real bad day.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

Probably a B6S. A H35 or a sport evo would do though. :)

I'm not being biased here but for me it has to be the Tech 2 Sports. No other car has had such an impact on me these cars. The kit is smooth with no jagged edges, the BBS rims look perfectly suited to the car and it sits just right. The lines are timeless in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Alpina versions, Hartge's etc, but when I saw my first Tech 2 nearly twenty years ago it was literally 'Love at first sight' Image

I better stop now as I'm getting all bleary eyed. :o:

Hehehe I know where your comming from , my love was born from a radio controlled car I got when I was 5 or 6. It was a Red DTM M3 and from that day I loved the e30 shape.

Spotted two E30's in Railway station car park yesterday. In there, there was your usual E90, Merc's and other posh cars, but what caught my eye first the trusty E30! Brilliant!

LONG LIVE THE E30! :D

I like them because they are a little understated! Bit of a sleeper. Ok probably not earth shattering performance compared to an m3 or other types of e30 available (not incluing modified ones, but I wouldn't know becuase I haven't driven one) and far more within reach than m3s.

I'd go with that, it's not like you buy an e30 for earth shattering performance anyway.

I'm getting close to my personal E30 grail. It's taken me nearly 5 years.
Designed and built in Germany........ Perfected on Tyneside.
This is why I no longer drive an E30......
