the E30 was facelifted in Sept 1987, and it would have been possible to tick the boxes when bought to spec it up to a Sport.
The ''sport'' (which was only a UK dealer model not an offiicial BMW model) was luanched by BMW UK dealers in Sept 1988. this was a standard 325 with a certain amount of boxed pre-ticked for you by BMW UK, the list of what makes a real sport is a much hackneyed topic but basically LSD,tech 2 kit,CR box, sport interior plus some other cosmetic bits. In UK the dealers registered these as ''sport'' probably to make the yuppie investment bankers think they were getting a faster car and BMW UK could charge more money for them, and i am sure you are all loving the current breed of bankers at the moment and respoect their judgement as much as my father respected the lot in the early nineties during the last banking fcukp!
