firstly thanks for those sayin that this site will help me out. I realise this is the most helpfull place to be in this given situation. Secondly yes the car was from high wycombe area and anyone who decides to be so decietfull in a sale I have no problem in calling dodgy. I have said in my post that I realise that the car is sold as seen. So kami325isport thanks for telling me how its all my fault blah blah blah. I know its down to me for buying this car but could do without people rubbing it in. I thought the zone was meant to provide support?

Trying to find sum where to lift a vehicle up when buying is an ideal situation but who really does. Removal of bodykit would obviously be the ideal situation but then again i doubt many have. Sometimes you have to put some faith in people and from what I could see it looked good. Also if people were honest enough to admit that they are traders then they would be open to the liability that comes with vehicle trading.

Surely if the guy is a trader, you're covered anyway Matt... Whether he admitted it or not, if he's in the trade, he's got liabilities.

Worth a try if the car's that bad, otherwise there'll be enough people on the Zone happy to help as they can.

You can just smell it's a Wrong'un straight away!!!
Why is the exhaust wrong?
It's very simple. ALL sport came with straight tailpipes and short black straight cut trims. I've seen facelift cars with tail pipes that kick to the left but never a sport. The body kit wasn't designed for it.

This makes me think why people go out of thier way to own sports. Why not get a nice 325i avoid the sport tax and some of the kit hidden rust. Can make a 325i look like a sport quite easily...

No, Sports & cars fitted the the Mtech kit had straight pipes, all others had angled pipes, age has nothing to do with it :D
But you are right, this dodgy Sport should have straight pipes.....

My mate went to view this last week. Said the car wasn't right. Also, seller seemed way too shifty and wanting him to transfer the cash without taking the car or v5 to the bank with them and then making excuses to go and meet a builder and leaving his brother at the bank to make sure the money went across.

My mate just got off and jumped the train back to liverpool. The lads been phoning and texting now saying how bad he feels and he'll drop the price. Supposedly the sellers name has popped up somewhere on pistonheads about taking deposits for cars then dissapearing.

Also, that's a differrent house to the last advert.

Its photos are taken in same place to photos of mine when on ph but the adress of purchase is sum where completely different. Err... think that makes sense. I may well try and take this further Gortour if can prove they are traders. Didnt have any of that weird bank transfer shenanaguns but def think tis same guys.

Cheapest/easiest option if you don't know exactly what to look for is to put it in for an MoT. 40-50 quid gets you a fairly thorough going-over by a professional.

I noticed you said the car came from Hiwycomb, I am sure there was a very dodgey dealer tryign to flog a Silver C2 2.7 fromt hat area. The milage had kept jumping from very low to high and back to low.
