Just bought a cover / protector for cab roof window. Quick questions...How does it fit ? any one got any pics of one fitted?

THE two short straps fit into yoir bootl then fix the four long ones into the side of the hood at the rear windows,

Ok , that clears that one up....but heres another dumb question..?

whats it actually meant for ? ie protect window from what ?

Protects it from frost i believe mate,prevents it cracking, iirc.

Ah.. ...Best get it on the car then.... but thought I had better find out what exactly was its main use... Handy for hot days when parked up also i suppose , stop window from yellowing.
Cool..was a good buy then....

Very good for the weather we are having. Even though i don't drive my cab, still got the protector on :cool:

It's not there to protect cracking. The window will still be very fragile in cold weather with or without the protector. It's used to save the need to use deicing fluids or remove the need (temptation) to scrape the ice off and so scratch the window.

They came as standard with the convertible. Up to the owner is he wanted one or not. Mine came with it :cool:

As did mine Imy, did,nt realise what it was for quite a while, was using it to lay on when working under the car for 6 months. It,s suprisingly tough, thankfully. :o: :)
