On my daily travels yesterday morning on the A2 (London) I saw a dolphin gray E30 with a chequered roof. Just wondered if it was anyone on here?

Was it a competition car that needed a welded up sunroof panel hiding?
Im having to do it on my brilliantrot car but it will be covered with a plain black decal to match the black bonnet and boot, not by choice tho!
