Morning. Having a layer of wax will definately protect it. I would put some traffic film remover on there first and leave it to soak. Then get the pressure washer on there followed by your usual washing techniques Are you sure it's only flour and not a mixture of egg too?? This is bitch to remove so take your time. Also remember that TFR will strip your wax so you will have to re apply it again

Not a nice thing to have done to you, particularly if the perp. has some kind of grudge against you. It's the inconvenience of having to clean it up at the very least.
Could have been worse though.....

thank god it was only flour, it could have been an awful lot worse! we have to accept that at some point most of us will suffer the effects of some sad tw4ts damaging our cherished cars sooner or later, be it car park dings, supermarket trolley dents, deliberate vandalism like scratching or throwing of substances over the bodywork, or just sheer jealousy. i'm very pleased for you that it was only flour on this occasion and also that your car is waxed.
my recommendation would be, in the first instance, to blow as much of it away as possible with an airline of the type used in bodyshops or even workshops (with the trigger attachment as used when prepping a car before respraying) long before you even think of getting it wet.
i'm sure you will be allowed to borrow one for a couple of minutes. just take a jar of coffee/packet of chocolate biscuits when you ask! winkeye

If you have a snow foam lance, Give it a few layers of foam to lift it off. If not, a very soft flow of water over the car to wash it away. (Do you have access to an air line? could try to use air pressure to remove it?)

I'd not bother using TFR on it as this will strip the wax and the flour won't be that hard to remove.

Just remove as much as poss as gently as poss and physical contact should be the last resort and soft as you can.

I'm wondering what good-for-nothing vandal scum were doing with a bag of flour. You were either targeted (which I think is not the case) or were the victim of an opportunist drunk. I can't see any normal reason why someone would go out on the piss with flour.

Pain in the arse however it got started.

TFR Is fine to use on your paintwork provided you have diluted it accordingly.
I've used it on red paintwork without any problems unless your stupid enough to spray it on neat.

Are you SURE it is flour? not cement or plaster of paris? I'd check a small amount with water to see what it does first.

a bag of flour isnt a vindictive thing i would have thought, i reckon its drunk kids fannying about and have picked your car out at random rather than a planned hate attack for which something much worse than flour would have been used.

some knob did this to my tvr a little bit ago. the main thing i was worried about was it getting into the soft top fibres i brushed it all off the soft top with a soft brush then just rinsed the rest of the the bodywork with water and it was all fine. The pissed off feeling took a lot longer to get rid of then the flour

well i know how you feel goosie cause i went out to my car yesterday morning to find that some stupid little idiot (& yes i know who they are) had keyed my daily driver (rover 75) on the passenger side & written "tosser" & "w@*ker" in the dirt on the drivers side
i say ii know who's done it cause the family across the road from me had the drivers door on their daughters car pushed in & all i put it down to is they think it was me who did it cause they have got it imto their heads that the car park next to mine (where i park the rover) is their's & no one else is allowed to use it & i talked to the counsil & they say that both me & the lady in the flat above me both have a designated parking space there & that the family across from me are not allowed to park, there so all i can say is get it cleaned up & meep an eye on it (if you can) the next time it's left outside.
it's like how it's put earlier in this thread it's usually some drunk little chav kids who think it's big & clever to have a go at something they know they'll never have because they are to lazy to get off their arse & get a job & try to do it themselves, like zaust said what go's around come's around (& i know i shouldn't say this but sod it it gets my back up when idiots do this) & if it happens again & you (some how) find out who's doing it well you know what to do (2 choices police or take the matter into your own hands) any way i really do feel for you & fingers crossed it wont happen again.
any way sorry about the rant just wanted to get it off my chest, good luck getting the car cleaned up & looking it's best again.
cheers steve

Sorry to hear about your car mate. Tossers they are and think coz its an old car its worth fook all.

I called in to see my mum at her boozer on new years eve and when i was coming out i could hear somebody saying " dont worry, all pile on" when i come out theres my 25 stone fat bast@rd of a cousin sprawled across the bonnet of my sport.

Only for the fact that someone held me back he would have got a pasting. He's off the radar at the mo and not answering his phone. Luckily there wasnt even a scratch let alone a dent.

Yours should be an easy sort though mate. good luck.

Seems there's a few of these c***s about!!!!

Mate of mine drove herself and her fella home after new years (she wasn't drinking!) - after half hour of being in they heard some banging and noise outside, looked out the window to see some random pikey lookin fella kicking the s**t out of her two year old 206cc!!!!
Her and her fella ran outside and managed to catch him and keep hold of him - restrained him and got his wallet, name and address (from the contents) and called the old bill!!!
Pikey tried to do a runner so matey chased him down, old bill caught up with him and took over the chase - then lost him.
Took them back home and told her to claim on her car insurance!!!!! Not interested in the perp, or his name and address. Said they wouldn't be chasing it up!!!!!!!
Glad i pay my taxes!!!! :x

I've told her to put in an official complaint, but i doubt she will.

I have suggested using his name and address and some relevant people, but she's not keen!!!
If i were there, i wouldn't have restrained him, i'd have battered him!!!!!!! :x

As I read the first sentence I was thinking you were talking about a real baby!!

Once as I pulled into a petrol garage some skag whore bitch shouted at me begging/demanding money. I told her to fuck off and the skank hit my e30 with her handbag that clonked the car so hard it sounded like it had a brick in it!!
I wish I'd turned around and run her over :P
Point is- there's c***s everywhere
