Anybody heard of this shipping company. http://www.lunashipping.co.uk/ I purchased an tech1 kit on ebay.uk and the seller is using this company to ship the kit to me in the states. I am being told by the seller that I need to send the company a copy of my picture ID before they can ship it. Does that sound legit?

Anyone familiar with shipping internationally?

TIA

Greg

Just had a look at the site, there's no mention of photo ID but in this day and age you never know. Will phone them in a few hours and find out.

With tomorrow being Christmas eve do you think they would be open?

What time is it there, I would also like to call them. It is just after 10PM here just trying to figure out when to call.

Thanks

Tried twice today with no luck, thought it might save you the cost of a distance call. Sorry, will try again after holiday if you want. 5 hours in front of you.

Success!!! Spoke to a fella called "Sam" who confirmed that they do require a photocopy of your passport picture page. I queried that and he checked with his colleagues who all confirmed it. Hope that helps. Kev.

I ship internationally all of the time at work and have never heard of a requirement for photo ID, the only thing I send for international shipments are the commercial invoices if they're sent outside the EU. This photo ID may be a requirement of this company only. I would still be inclined to find out exactly what purpose they need it for, as they've only said they need it but not why.

Bought: Obtain in exchange for payment. Brought: Come to a place with (someone or something).
These words are NOT interchangable....!

Thanks a lot. I will give them a call tomorrow, and see if I can set things up.

They did sound like a legit company though?

I will try to find out why the photo is needed.
