What would the mpg of a 320i have been when brand new, and what are the main componants to wear that cause the decrease over time? Just curious really...

They were never good. mid to high 20's is normal as the fuel is not as explosive as it used to be.
M30 Tech 1 Touring on gas.

Well looking in the book for my 87 320 it thinks 33mpg at 90 mph!!!!!!! :mad: Funny old BMW LOL :D

Wouldnt suprise me, i get alot better fuel consumption @ 90 than i do at 80, and better at 80 than i do at 70 :|

injectors,fuel filter,dizzy,rotor,plugs,coil,air filter all need to be in good working order really

you just reminded me simon to get a new fuel filter!! they have one in stock! its been put to one side for me.
