Need some serious help from someone on here. I'm visiting my girlfriend at Royal Holloway University in Egham, but my alternator belt has snapped, and I need to get home (Devon) tonight. If anyone has a belt they can drop up to me or help in any way please call me on . Greatly appreciated.

my advice sam, would be to make a night of it with your girlfriend /b&b etc. and go to the nearest halfords/motor factors in the morning. you won't find a belt available anywhere at 5pm on a sunday mate.

I'm home now, the problem is a little worse than just a snapped belt, the water pump sized which caused the breakage. The girlfriend didn't tell me she had RAC cover til after about an hour of not knowing what was going on. Bloody women... Would have loved to have stayed another night, but work tomorrow and all that
