i tried one of these : http://www.greenfilters.co.uk/Air_Filte ... 73637b8c27 when i had my induction kit fitted to my e30. Don't buy that style because they are crap and dont fit! the induction kit soon came off after that!

I've got one of those (with the extra pieces, with the with a less than 100miles used K&N cone filter (with all correct brackerty for a 325i) & cleaning fluids, for sale

The only thing I can report on was a lovely induction roar around 3-5k, which kept encouraging driving around between 3-5k, but did cause cold-engine idle to be a little rough.

I'll try and dig it all out and take pics:

Here you go:

Piper got back to me - they dont do them.

I'm after the housing type as in the link I posted - not just a cover.

Cant find them on ebay - any ideas? Any fabricator willing to make some may find good interest in them...

Wouldn't it be better to spend your money on something that actually improves the car, rather than trying to restore the intake system to as good as when it left the factory?

I cant fit the original air intake on my car due to a bigger radiator, so currently have a ram air filter cone

I have been toying with the idea of putting the old air box back but with ducting from the front valance, will it still be as effective if the air is coming from a different source???

Guessing the "S" loop the ducting currently takes will produce a differnet air pattern to the original BMW intake? will that make any odds?

TIA

Jimmy

ESP design do them in two sizes, mine cost £14.00 delivered. Check any recent PBMW magazine as they have a two page advert with telephone order number.

Hope this helps!! :D
