No practicality whatsoever............ bit like a cossie engine in an e30
The ashtray panel is prob the most practical choice tbh.

im thinking of the position of the centre vents now as suggested on another thread. i could live without centre vents and that gives a high, central position for the guages.
a cossie engine in my car is extremely practical. a family/work friendly load lugger that lugs loads extremely fast

I've had a vacuum gauge in the past but IIRC its very similar to the standard "MPG" indicator fitted to most BMW's - so probably a bit of a waste of time.no2lurch wrote:in the past (no non bmw cars) i have had three extra gauges... voltage, oil pressure and a vacuum gauge.

You might be better with the standard Audi Coupe setup - Oil Pressure, Oil Temparature and Voltmeter.
Probably pick up the gauges off the bay - its the senders and wiring that you'll have to make work.

fuzzy,
electrical or mechanical boost guages? i would have thought the electrical is easier but would be more expensive, as the mechanical works on a vacuum tube coming thorugh all the way to the guage i think!
