Ok basically I have a 2 door track car which needs welding to the inner rear arches, is this a big job to do well? does not need to look pretty but does need to be strong, I have a welder so thats not an issue or do I go out and get a better shell? This is the only rot I have found on the car apart from a bubbly rear arch. Scuttle is perfect for once!

Was thinking about locating a cheap touring and rebuilding all my goodness into that but i don't know, I have all the other bits to repair my current track car to mot standard. Should I give in and start anew or carry on with this one, I had the car 18 months (longest i have ever kept a car).

I am confused as to what to do, will not really cost anything to get to mot standard just a lot of time consuming work!
I don't have pics of the holes but rest assured they are large! and both front and rear sides of both rear inner arches...

here is the car in question.....do i save it or resurrect it in another shell?

It is meaningless to ask; which is real, 'real' or imaginary? It is simply a matter of which is the more useful description

Why does a track car need a good job done, just patch it on and keep on rolling.

will be a lot less work to patch it up, to reshell will take time and pound notes.
