hi
im thinking of adding air con to my car. what i wanted to know is how hard is it?? what do i need and would the 2325 radiator be the same??

I can't see it being that difficult.

Assuming you get everything you need or you will find you need odd bits and bobs here and there.

You do realise it drains your fuel and makes your car feel asthough the handbrakes on?

i cant imagine there being much difference

if you really want it get it :D

to be honest i really dont like not having air con to me a/c would be more usefull than say pas

It's a different radiator to the standard fitment.

cheers so would i need a set up for a 318i??? or are they all the same?
as to the kit a mate of mine is selling his car as spares and it has it so i might have that :)

josh if you have a after market rad then check on the o/s for a brass plug where a temp switch goes for the air con (its not totally neccesary)most of the kit is the same there are those that say a 325 set up into a m40 will not go but other than the alloy mount to the engine block and the 2 pipes that connect to the compressor there are only minor differences(my 325 has a kit from a 318 fitted) bought almost complete from a scrappy for £50 (i was v lucky)

the worst bit is the dash needs to come out to fit the a/c heater box

aicon only saps power while it's on, when off the clutch on the compressor makes it free rolling. even when on it probably only takes a bhp or two to run.
