Anyone know how rare/sought after they are, and issues with them in general and possible price guidelines? Cheers, Steve

Contrary to what the P40 snorting owners think they are not particularly sought after or valuable, certainly not as much as the later facelift cars. What is not in doubt is their ability to disolve between MOTs ! :(
Most would agree they are a better/faster car to drive than the facelift sports but their dated looks and the fact that there are very few left means they are largely ignored.
I have bought scrappers for £120 :D , i have also heard rumours of £4000 changing hands for really nice ones but i haven't seen one in a LONG time that would justify that sort of coin.
Most half tidy ones with an MOT seem to hover around the £1500-£2500 but tread warily as 75% of these are corpses on stretchers !

Well i bought one thats all, its got a bit of surface rust bubbles here and there, but solid engine bay and shell and a rather quick car it is too. Dunno about dated, but it looks a lot more retro than the tec2s, alot nicer imo :)

Tech 1's do look dated compared to Tech 2's :D Doesn't mean they have don't have their own appeal (in some kind of weird perverted way akin to people collecting Commadore Pets, ZX81's, Sinclair radio watches, Big Trax, etc..) Everyone is entitled to their own opinion even if it is wrong winkeye

I think Tech 1 cars look much better than Tech 2s. That's why I'm putting a Tech 1 kit on my touring.

Tech2's don't look modern anyway- bit vulgar but I love 'em :D
In some way they look better without a kit and just with a decent front lip of some kind :D

I love M-Tech I bodykits more than M-Tech II, mainly because they look so much better and not so plasticy - this is my opinion.

I think that they look old skool style. The M-Tech II doesn't define the car enough. It all blends into one and another.

I so much like the classic style of the M-Tech I and it's lines, especially the side skirts.

I decided that I wouldn't go with any bodykit as I wanted mine to be as original as possible and I wanted mine to not be like everyone else's. There are only a few, including B7's beautiful convertible that look so damm good. :winkeye:
