Hi folks,
Well my 89 325 cab made it all the way from Nottingham to Rhodes in Greece, it went without a hitch testement to the model and BMW.
anyway I traveled 1200 miles between 15:30 on friday and 19;00 on saturday through the Uk France Switzaland and Italy (not bad for a girl) just wondering if anyone else has done a simalar milage in 1 day. I will post the photos when i can figure out how. Coming down other e30 owners were pipping and waving it felt quite special.
Ps This is the best place for a cab hood down sun shining looking COOL

We drove from Spain all the way back to England in about 36hours.
A bit hard in a loud car and rough suspension.

250 ish miles here when I went to get my car, every time I had to brake the doors would lock, the speedo didn't work, the temp guage was stuck on really hot and the fuel guage wouldn't work unless I hit it, the windscreen wipers were nackered and it was pissing with rain for the first half of the trip. Fun times

Not in E30s any more

To the OP,well done, when I do holiday trips like that I prefer to break them up into 400 mile days....as Calamity Jane refuses to drive on; a) roads she has not driven on before(?) b) the 'wrong' side of the road.....

I havnt done anything epic in my E30 yet, nothing more than a 250 odd mile domestic trip. I plan to hopefully go across the channel before the summers out though...avec new head gasket and Alpinas

Probably next summer i want to to a bigger europen trip, taking in the top gear best driving roads and the Millau Viaduct

Not in an e30, but still a BMW R1200gs motorbike, Loaded with a camping gear. I managaged 1100 miles in one go. Bulgaria to Athens via Turkey 21 hours of riding only stoping for fuel.
Also during the same adventure managed another trip of similar distance from nothern Greece, to Croatia via Macedonia, Kosovo, Serbia, Motenegro and Bosnia. Took a bit longer as I keep having trouble crossing borders.

have driven to the south of Poland 3 times in the last 2 years in my 1989 316i - 1400 miles one way from London via Dover-Calais in 27 hours, stopping for an hours sleep in Germany. It's long, tiring but always a pleasure.
