as above read haynes manual and they say take whole a--e end apart must be an easier way can anyone help. :mad:

Are you changing springs and dampeners, or bushes as well?

Springs and dampeners should be 1 spanner job...

It is very very simple, only 1 bolt at the bottom of the shock and the 3 on the top mounts and the springs just pop out, took me about 1/2 hour to do it on my 316i

it will be a bit harder for you if your car has a rear anti roll bar as mine didn't
