hi guys
in the process of doing my 5 stud
i currently have complete m3 e36 front hubs
wishbones
and 328 sport shocks
on the rear i have e36 compact arms
with et41 bbs splittes

now the car and wheels sit fine but the passanger side arm theres no camber(the wheel sits straight)
compaered to the driver side (sits like an e30) winkeye
i canged the driverside thinking its the problem but its the same so it only leaves the passanger side.

anyway...

been offered a set of trailing arms off of a z3m coupe.

my question is
is anyone using these arms?
and will my wheels sit the same as the compact setup
or do i need bigger ET on the wheels
is £400 good in price

thanks

I have a complete Z3M rear beam with trailing arms, hubs, discs, brakes etc. that I may part with for the right price.

PM me if you're interested.

I am putting the z3m stuff on my car.

They'll bolt to the e30 subframe with only the brake-line routing to be changed. The offset of the std z3m wheels is due to the massive width.. on the e30 use the e36 et41's. You'll need the diff flanges from the z3m too as they are larger.

Remember: the brake bias will be wrong unless you use a 25mm master cylinder and e36 m3 front brakes...

The ZM arms do fit, but they also widen the track. I can not recall specifics numbers of hand, but what i do recall is that on an e30 M3 and using an et25 you are limited to 8" wheels to clear the arch lip with ZM arms.

Whats your arch clearance like now ? If the tyre is close to the arch lip now, with compact arms, it will be closer and sit out by at least 10mm on each side, but i think it will be more.

If you took two identical designs of wheel, one with the correct offset for an E30 (my 7" 15" M3 BBS's are ET30), one with the correct offset for the E36 (7.5" are 41mm aren't they?) the track would be the same. If you fit the E30M3 wheels to the Z3M arms you'll get an increase in track due to the incorrect offset wheels being used (14mm I think the difference is each side.)
