So far this year I've replaced rear beam bushes, rear top mounts, rear wheel bearings, handbrake shoes, discs and pads all around, gone from a 60/40 drop to 30/30. I've replaced all the knackered bolsters etc on the front seats and replaced the non-working heating elements. On the waiting list, I have a replacement tailgate that needs a bit of tidying before it goes on, I've recovered my headlining in blacke suede but still need to put it back on. I have an Evolve chip on the way and hopefully a cheapo 6 branch too (depending on the group buy coming through). I also need a new wing and headlight after a small accident last year (not my fault) and am waiting for the insurance money to come through. Plus my airco' needs some attention, possibly a new pump and regassing. That's enough to be going on with!
My plans, much the same as last years, drive and enjoy............. and maybe, just maybe drop the 3.5 in but keep the pre facelift lump in case i want to revert back.
She has been in the bodyshop for approx 4 weeks and is nearly completed,
Didn't really need a lot doing to her but a certain Bentley kicked up that much
Track debris it rashed up my front valance and chipped a couple of wings,
So rather than just doing the front end, i opted to have every thing taken off
Hand Flattened and resprayed, have also had all 4 jacking points renewed and
any thing else that has been found while its in bits. Ouch. !
Needed to be done as it was pretty nice before the day at Bruntingthorpe.
As you can see pretty glossy.
So also this year i plan to Run my Engine in a few thousand miles more
and then let Ant do his magic AGAIN, and turn up the boost,
and also Boost pressure gauges installed
Have my suspension professionally set up including Adverse Camber kit fitted.
Get 2 new side mirror glasses, 2 new wiper arms, Grey and Black seat belts
front and rear,
Rear AP Brake conversion.
And a small shot of NOS (APPROX 200)
So next time i'm tagging a Bentley Continental GT 6 Litre Twin Turbo
He can have some road Rash
If you have any of the above for sale i would definately be Intersted
Need to get my interior sorted, seats, headlining, dash cracks and a few other little bits. 15" or 16" wheels, as the standard 14" look a bit lost on a touring i think. My ultimate goal is to get 318is running gear, an m42 and a tech 2 kit on it, but if that'll ever come together, who knows?
I've already changed some torn seat covers. Changed the rocket cover drainage tube.
I really want to sort out the suspension this year, there's too much knocking coming from the front end.
I'd love to lower the car but it all depends on £Â£Ã‚£
I have just tinted my rear clusters
Need to finish the body work i started last summer
New stereo to replace stolen one
I have se skirts waiting to go on!
I need get hold of an IS lip
Refurb the wheels!
Oh and cam belt
If i get most of that done and the car is still running hastle free.. It'll be a good 2008!!
