Hi all,
I want to replace the roof, the rear section and windscreen strip on my E30 Baur Tc, does anyone know of any good supply and fit companies? I am in kent but do not mind travelling a bit. Thanks

Thank you for the reply, I will look into that. I have spoken to one company and they want £790 + VAT supplied and fitted, do you think this is reasonable or expensive? I have yet to call other companies but looking at their websites makes this price seem on the dear side ?? any advise would be grateful.

That is a little expensive, but seeing as it's a Baur, it's not very common so may prove a little more costly over a regular convertible hood. Theres a place in Essex called Hot Hood's - http://www.hothoods.co.uk/ that might be able to help you. You could also try zimmerbimmer on here from the parts department, get a price quote on an original BMW hood?

Thank you for the reply, I thought it was a bit expensive too, I didn't think the price for a roof had gone up by that much !! as a couple of years ago I phoned around to test the waters to get a rough idea of how much I was going to need to transform my car, I was quoted between £600 - £700 (i think) for the roof, depending on the company.
But I lost all the contact numbers, names and web sites (due to time gone by and a change of computer) and I dont know who is good and who is not, Hense the reason I am asking you guys on here.

I will look into both those options. Thats 3 new ones to try now... thanks again guys

BAS (who a few on the zone, including me, have used and can recommend) quote £246 for the roof + fitting if you give them a ring they will send you to their nearest agent..and they will send you a sample if you want

Got my cab sorted here:

http://www.soft-tops.co.uk/

They are in Croydon and did a great job, on time, and on price (just over £500). Give them a call. :D
