If you take your time and carefully maneouvre over the steering column (by far the trickiest bit of refitting) you'll be fine.
Though I'm pretty patient and it had me swearing

apparently you can just unplug all the connections above the rear of the glovebox and you can take the whole dash out with everything stil attached,

True, ive taken out dashes in like 5 mins without whipping the steering wheel out, ive actually done it in pitch black darkness, dont ask why, i still have nightmares thinking about it.
Actual fact ill say, i took it out in the dark cos i wanted to fit my M3 dash in as i couldnt wait, reality i used a lighter with a mate holding it as a light but it was as good as pitch black!!!

Just need to unplug the middle connector behind the glove box and it can all come out in one
