slowly finishing my 318i off (slowly is most definatly the word)
guy before had the cambelt go and partially stripped some of it , its running now but theres another wire that runs along the same path as the wire to the crank sensor , any ideas what its for ? has 3 wires and like i say follows pretty much same path as the crank sensor wire
also car seems to have not alot of throttle response , what should it idle at ? its at about 600rpm at the moment and that seems to low to me , though im a bike mechanic and bikes tend to idle higher as a general rule , it occasionally has a bit of a stutter , maybe the idle is low but when it stutters i notice the fuel pump noise increases , been wondering whether the pumps on its last legs as it does seem like fuel starvation when it does it
