Hi, as per my other thread (http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... 12#1005612), I'm building a 2.8 which will occasionally be running up to 150bhp of nitrous (nearly 400bhp total).

At the moment my 2.7 slips the standard clutch with as little as 35bhp of nitrous, this clutch was brand new 3 years and 30kmiles ago and is a genuine BMW item.

Obviously I need an uprated clutch but which type ?

I use the car as a daily driver so won't be buying a race clutch, what about fast road paddle clutches ?

Does anybody have experience of driving a car with a fast road/track spec paddle clutch ?, I want to avoid snatchy clutches with no modulation for heavy traffic and hill starts etc.

Cheers,

Iain T

Sinter clutch used for small race/rally cars like N1 Polo, Fabia and such makes for some erratic and uncomfortable although not at all unbearable starts, in my experience it's always a trade-off and whatever you put in it won't pull away as smooth as it does now.
