Re: Removing and re-installing ABS pump unit - precautions?

Just make sure you get it it when you throw it in the bin. But seriously there shouldnt be a problem just bleed it normally. If you do lose your pedal after its done try bleeding the master then the lines at the abs unit then again at the wheels. Should make sure all the air gets out. A bleeding mac...

Re: head gasket replacment

id get the head checked for cracks while its off. in fact you should get it reco'd with new stem seals and a valve re-grind.

"DON'T break the exhaust studs when you do remove it."

i always spray them with a lot of wd40 or rost off or what ever u can get. they are a pain.

i think you need adjustable camber and caster or you will compromise the awesome handling of your e30. i dead keen on doing this conversion till i looked into the parts of everything id need. especially when you consider that puttin standard suspy in is a bit of a waste of time. if your goin to comp...

i have a 320i with a manual box and 4.4 diff. it uses more fuel than my auto 3ltr 1986 nissan. which weighs another 200kgs!!! but hits the speed limit effortlessly under very light excelleration. i think its because of the very low torque in the bmw because i hafto rev the shit out of it to get goin...

Re: video posted of my problem ... help

if it was a vac leak id say ur idle would be affected.

i dont think its a problem if the car is driving fine. unless it iritates u i wouldnt be too worried. i like a little pop pop.

all my cars do it. but then again they all have "chav" exhausts.

thats not a misfire thats a back fire. if its auto put it in drive then put your foot on the brake and rev it up. if it goes like duh duh duh its misfiring. if it runs smooth its not. if its a manual heel and toe it to do the same. sounds to me like its just your exhaust popping because of your back...

i put a 325 manifold on my 320. i would be amazed if any actual power gain was there if tested on a dyno. but throttle response is improved i also fitted a pod filter which further improved throttle response. but i doubt if any real power gains where achieved. i suppose it revs out a bit smoother so...
