E30 Zone

I have the e46 m3 convertible.

Buying it wouldn't be a worry, maintaining it would.

most are coming up to 10 years or older now and would need money thrown at them, clutch and flywheel replacements can cost up to £2k, same with brakes all round not to mention fuel costs, insurance...

I had the same but managed to find a spare seat which I took the material off and replaced the torn part.

Lift the rear seat up , there should be a piece of paper stapled to the seat with the production number written on it.

there should be a part numbered 09.23.117 this accepts the hex section, but you need to press it in fairly hard and you'll know when it's in place it shoud click loudly.. make sure the allignment tab from the metal waffle part, locates through the 09.23.117 part probably you're not pressing hard en...
