LPG conversion N.Devon

I live in North Devon and commute to Somerset, which is putting about 25k a year on my mileage...I'm running a 2.0 l tourer...and its all starting to get a tad expensive....I'd like to keep the E30 and convert it to lpg rather than change it for a Euro rot-box diesel of some sort....does anyone know...

Bit of a dullard question but....This morning my wipers were frozen to the windscreen....stupidly didn't check the switch when I turned the ignition on..the passenger side worked normally but the drivers side remained frozen...now the motor is working fine but the arm on the drivers side is not movi...

Re: E30 320 tourer...couple of niggles....

Thanks Brian and Stonsie...indicator now working and not leaking under a pressure washer....the cooling isn't a real problem (yet)...the fan is still able to shred a news paper but is slowed up a little bit when doing it...so I guess the viscous coupling will need doing at some point.... Is the 2.0 ...

E30 320 tourer...couple of niggles....

I've just picked up my E30 touring today....seems all pretty straight no rust in anywhere...so i've been spending the day in the company of a wire brush ,bucket of hot water and waxoyl to keep it that way.... Runs and stops as it should but a couple of very minor niggles to welcome me back to owners...

Re: Tips on keeping arch's rust free....

if they have rusted and been repaired then chances are the rust will reappear what ever you do....other than that if they haven't rusted , a rust resistant stone chip protector (waxoyl/dinatrol both do them) and clean, clean and clean again the lips under the arches are a good trap for mud ...make s...

Re: wet carpet!

Not 100% sure on this but sure I've read a similar problem on the zone somewhere ,think you'll find the leak just behind the glovebox on the inside and if memory serves me correctly then below the fuse box...don't think its uncommon but if you do a search sure you'll find it somewhere.....sorry not ...

Paintless Dent Removal

For anyone thinking about having this done.....well worth it! My cabby was starting to look a bit scruffy with annoying dings from various careless b/stards but the paint is still relatively good...went to 2 body shops , one gave me a £1500 estimate for front /rear valance and sorting the dings ou...

The leather on the seat back of my cab has split at the seam ( stitching has torn)...I've seen this on other cabs so it isn't uncommon but is it fixable...the leather is otherwise OK...cheers

Wheel noise

I'm running my 325 cab on 15" BBS ,since I raised the suspension from 60/40 to 35/35 there has been a noise that sounds like a very high tyre rumble which starts at 40 mph and then staysat higher speeds. there is no vibration, no pulling to the sides ,wheel bolts are all tight....I,m hoping the tyre...

Think semi synthetic is best for these engines every 6k (ur right that synthetic will leak from gaskets/seals at higher temps)

Re: What do I look for when buying a new E30?

Agree with all that has been said b4 ,a few nuggets from my own buying experience over the years....condition is far more important than mileage, don't be overimpressed by FSH although it is desirable, but look at what has been done eg check coolant has been changed every 2 years...otherwise cracked...

Blue plug marked 1 in your picture is not the temp sensor it goes into the indicator stalk ,the temp sensor is marked 5 in your picture , yellow plug marked 2 in your pic has an earth included in it, so no need for extra earth (Mark u must have been writing same time...same info)

17's give an uncomfortable ride (IMO) and probably coincidence but had 3 blow outs in 6 months with these wheels...went back to refurbed 15 BBS's....much better ride/handling and no blow outs....again only my opinion but if Hartge/Alpina engineers thought 17" rims would have improved things they wou...
