Re:

Hi I have kind of been living with this since my first post 2 years back! I don't think it's as bad as it was and the car has always passed MOTs, no problem. However, when I do get some time, I plan to change the diff bush as it's original and I have read that you get much improved axle location fro...

Ah, good idea. I didnt realise that was a possibility as I've never had the seats out - but it would definitely be easier of it's do-able that way.

Cheers everyone.

Sports seats - 1990 cabrio (anthracite check)

Hi, hope someone can help? I tried posting this in the Care and detailing forum but not sure that was the right place.... Hi, hope I'm posting this in the right place. The seats in my 1990 cabrio are generally pretty good but I noticed that the drivers side outer bolsters are starting to wear slightly. No big problem yet but I wondered if it's possible to swap the covers on the front seats before any obvious wear does ...

Hi everyone and yes I know there's an piece about this in the Articles section - but I have a slightly different problem developed and I cant find any mention of it so thought I'd ask! The seal on the front edge of the rear side window is bonded in place mate and I dont think you will get it off without destroying it. From your description it sounds as though your problem is more about adjustment of the front and rear side windows anyway. There's a section on that in the online ma...

I got twin straight pipes on a new Bosal back box and rear system which is Bosal part no. 285-181. Good quality too. Check if yours is a 2 piece system though (mine is and it's a year younger) - has a single joint under the car, about half way back. See the website http://www.bodyshopwarehouse.co.uk...

Rear suspension knock - any more ideas?

Hi guys, I've had an annoying and persistent knock from uder the back seat area of my 320i cab for about 2 years now. It sounds like something heavy but hollow - and whatever it is, it's not hitting directly on the body as it's nowhere near loud enough. It happens at any speed, whether or not under ...

Hi Replacing the flexible hose from the air flow meter to the throttle body made a big difference to the lumpy idle and hesitation on my 320 m20 engine. Also improved the mpg from about 20 to 25. It didnt look bad, but had one or two hairline cracks in it. Part no 13711726204 on mine (1990 car) and ...

Might be simplistic mate but replacing the flexible hose between the AFM and the throttle body made a big difference to MPG (from 19 to 25) and idle speed on my 320i. Yet it didnt look obviously cracked until I really flexed it. I dont know if you've tried that but it sounds like you may have a comb...

Hi, Had the same problem myself and I found that you can increase the amount the top edge of the rear window pushes outwards on the trailing edge of the front window. Mine has finally stopped working. It doesnt show more than a faint glimmer even when plugged in and I have checked the voltage across the 2 terminals in the glovebox, which is fine. Propshaft centre bearing - any tips?

Hi folks, Well I reckon I have narrowed down my annoying rear end clonk/rattle now. Hi, I had a similar problem last year (passenger side only) and I managed to trace the path the water was taking. Found the quote I was looking for .... on the BMWCC site - If the top seal dries out on the shocks, then this will give you the same sort of noise.
