My mate is an engineer and he refused to do it without the tool.

I think I will have to hunt around and get someone to do it.

I am perfectly willing to have a go at this but knowing my competency underneath cars it will probably end in disaster!

Just how bad are these to fit.
I have enquired with a few people about fitting and they wont touch em with a very long pole!!!

They have suggested the dealers to get it done.

Anyone know how much this costs?

Its definitely the parking lights.
They used to come on when the ignition was off, but now they dont.
They work when the ignition is on though!

I may try swaping a few fuses round to see what difference that makes, if theres something dodgy with the fuse itself!

When the ignition is off the side lights stay on in normal circumstances.
Now when the ignition is off the lights are off too!
Is this a fuse/relay problem?
If so which/what is likely to be the cause?

Check the throttle position sensor is correctly alligned.
Its directly under the throttle body.
It should make a clicking sound when the throttle is opened and again at full throttle.

Be careful, if the engine has done a lot of miles. The carbon build up will be removed, which could lead to problems with leaking valve stem seals and burning oil. Tried it on a 320 I had with about 100K and then had to replace the stem seals as the carbon deposits had been removed and they started ...

Take the steering wheel off
Remove gthe trim surounding the cluster.
Then I think there are a few screws hoolding the cluster in, simply pull it out and disconnect the fastners.
Pretty easy really

I've had a similar problem with the temp sensor, took me ages to find out what was the problem. In the end it was the wiring which runs from the sensor back under the inlet manifold, it was perished and causing all sorts things. Eventually the car would not idle correctly as the wires to ther inject...

Anyone know the part number?

Unfortunately i don't but it would be good to know, as I'll have to order one!

I have an 89 325 Sport with the oil cooler.
There appears to quite a big leak coming from the housing which connects the filter and the cooler pipes.
Is this servicable and has anyone else experienced this.
It has happened on another car too!
