Retrofitting ABS
I’m building a track/sprint/fast road car. Never came with ABS but have converted to 325i front struts and rear trailing arms all with abs rings. The car is a bare shell right now so wiring etc is no problem for me to add. Has anyone retrofitted ABS to a none ABS car? Is it worth adding? I believe t...

Re: The 316ti full send restoration
The restorers use Enviro strip for the dipping and e-coat. I've heard some horror stories too but ive heard about horrors with blasting too.
The restorer is really confident in the acid dipping process and hes the one whos putting his name to it and painting it so im happy if hes happy.

Re: The 316ti full send restoration
Alright Dan! I've got a couple. really surprised with how good it is. The main problems are fixing the dodgy repairs to the factory chassis mounts and a dodgy wheel arch welded on the passenger side. The lower rear vallance is toast and the battery tray has seen better days but the scuttle is solid....

Re: The 316ti full send restoration
Well I got word that the E30 had come back from its date with an acid bath! Went down to have a look and very plesently surprised at how solid the old girl is. The main bulk of the work seems to be sorting some issues on the firewall, Drivers side inner arch (shock tower side), the rear vallance, fr...

I'm finally at a point in life where I can do my dream build so its full send from here on in! I started this summer thinking I'd just get h...

Interior: Center console front section
I'm after a front center console that goes around the gear leaver. Would prefer one with no window switches but not too bothered if it has them for a 2 door (will push me to convert to electric windows!)
Thanks,
Si

Re: Wheel stud conversion
Can anyone recommend a decent wheel stud conversion kit for stock e30 hubs? Sorry for being the fool but why do you want to do this ?? Mart. It’s a track/drift car I’m building and since having studs on my other car I just feel it’s a lot easier. Just want to make sure I get some decent ones.

I've got a really bad rattle under my car. It only seems to be when i lift off and seems to knock around corners in time with road speed. Theres no marks or scrapes on wheels or drive shafts. It sounds alot like the exhaust is hitting a heat shield. Ive moved the exhaust round and checked the heat s...

Just one question about the fan clutch. is there a servicable part on them (like a clutch plate) or if they need replacing does the whole unit need to be changed?

Hi Bret,
Chassis number I have PM'd and its Manual.
I'm not sure on the make of the fan clutch? its just to replace the tired old unit which i stupidly removed in favor of an electric fan.
Thanks
Si
