Hey all, I done a compression check on the engine of my 318i m40 as i felt it was lacking abit of power and the readings i got for all 4 cylinders was 12 bars on the compression guage with the throttle wide open, is this normal for my engine ?

hey, Does anybody know if standard piston rings for a m50 2.5 engine would fit in the m40 1.8 pistons ? as the part numbers for the piston rings are the same for both egines on the realoem website.

thanx for the reply, what's the arrangement for alternator adjustment? if it is the same as the power steering pump adjustment, just so i know how to adjust the power steering pump as im a novice and this is my first time changing the power steering belt.
