The 316i didn't come out till 1986 I think , as I have both versions.

I recently changed the fuel pump on my M10, still running on the original Pierburg carb..
I got it from BMW as it's a manual pump, working of the camshaft.
Was about £120

If you can find a set.

It's not that easy to install the tilT lever onto the 4 for seats. If you've ever taken one apart.....there double skinned and the tilt mech is welded between the two.

Best use Brown Rice then
