Hi guys, im not sure the technical term but on the rear subframe mounts, there is a sort of top hat looking thing that sits on top of the bush, i guess transmits loads into the bush? anyway i have been swapping subframes, going from crappy rubber bushed subframe with drum brakes to disc brakes axle ...

do e30's have metric or unf fittings? i think its metric but i'm tired and its late and i cant really be bothered to go lie under the car at 1.20am.

awkward is better than paying someone else to do it. i'd much rather stress myself out and skina few knuckles and have a laugh with some mates than just fork out whatever and dump it at a garage.

TAS motorsport did a manual quick rack 2.7turns. they are now shut down though. i want one of those racks big time

fairly easy, give everything a good soaking in wd40 a day before or something. all the gubbins that you will need to unbolt has a habit of being rusty shitty and siezed.

get the diff to me, and a friend of mine would probably do it for Ãƒ”šÃ‚£30. not bad considering he does them properely and it does take time stripping them down and stuff...

and if you want it done soon, then give me a shout and i'll get someone to do it for you good and proper.

mig can be used, but mine is arc welded. and someone i know who welds the diffs for hotrods/stock car/banger racing says arc is better because mig can twist. a friend of mine welded it for me, hes up birmingham way he would definately do it for you, buit i see your located a bit far away. but he doe...

those people should shut the fuck up, ive ran a welded diff in that car since may, with no problems. and i know people who have ran them for even longer with no problems, that is my only car and is my daily driver so its perfectly usable. and it shits all over the crap bmw LSD's and is a lot cheaper...

took the engine out, put the car in a garage, and i go down once a week to cry. its coming back, soon, without the 2.5 its going to be laaavly. and if it doesnt work out i'm going to kill myself.

my car gets used very hard i cant resist it, replaced engine mounts one was broken 2months later...unfortunately only car and so im now without any workin car, and if i could id be at donnington on track. i guess people have different priorities though.

i just had mine patched up. couldnt find any where to buy replacements from but couldnt be arsed with cutting them out another car.

no supercharger. no dumpvalve.

sock filters are rubbish and will rob you of power..

drift spec. hmm, nothing its rwd buy one go drive it. an LSD helps, but for learning you need nothing else but the rule of thumb is kinda 1)bucket seat 2)lsd 3)supension uprated dampers/coilovers but if its rwd it'll be driftable. theres a million and one things you can do to make an e30 "driftspec"...
