Re:
M3 C/R will not fit onto 325I, Depending on what year your car is (motronic pick-ups on front pully or in bell housing?) Front pully pick-up, the E21 will bolt up but you would have to screw with linkage/propshaft and block off speedo drive. and the C/R dog leg from 323i E30 will fit right in if you...

Re: Coupe door help
Before wrecking the door panel trying to get it off with the door shut, Take the plastic button off and clamp a pair of mole grips on the exposed metal rod and give it a few good yanks, If you do manage to get it open replace the CDL solenoid.

Hey Andy, Yes it does have to be on the crank when it is ballanced along with the flywheel and clutch.
Driftboy, I wont argue who actually quoted "For speed add lightness" because Chapman and Shelby were both god's in my eyes.

Re: e30 timing chain
Hey Andrew, there is no official recomended change interval and as you rightly say you could have a "shagged" 80,000mile chain or a "looking good" 120,000 chain, In my experiance 100,000 miles has proven to be a fair gauge of knackerdness! the only foolproof way to check would be to strip and examin...

Re:
The pully is that size for a reason, Take a look at the difference in dimentions between an M20 2.0 and an M20 2.7 front pully. You prob would not feel the vibration, but if you run your car hard most of the time, you WILL damage the crank. Dont get me wrong I am a great believer in the carroll shel...

Re: Skimmed M30 vibration damper ?
It's more of a harmonic frequency dampner so skiming could cause problems,
Iv'e heard of crank nuts shaking loose or in a worst case the crank shaft self destructing!

Re: M3 Central locking help required
It's the same as all E30's,
pull the main A post connector apart the pins will more than likely
be corroded.
try cleaning them with switch cleaner or replace the pins.

Re: The abs light will not go out! Please could somebody help
Possibly the over-voltage relay, Little silver one next to the ABS control unit.
You can by pass the relay to test it, if the light goes out when you by-pass the relay it's dead.
Never leave the by-pass on as it protects the ABS control unit.

Re: m10 krakatoa
I actually sold the 323i to Mark, I was informed it was a janspeed conversion, I bought the car as a non runner, rebuilt the turbo, put a pair of front wings on and had a paint job (Up to the windows i seem to remember) also put the alpina wheels on. Loved the car but needed money (old story!) so so...
