Chrome plating is only a thin layer, you shouldn't use anything abrasive on it!

Aluminium oxide is abrasive, and will ultimately remove the chrome!

Remember that, ideally, you want to get them stripped, and then you need to polish the surfaces, other wise they will come out a bit dull. But, that might be what you want?

I've got 2 friends with 996's with plenty of finance on them and with mortgages. Perhaps more of a Jersey phenomenon, but will be interesting to see what happens when rates start going up Again, I think you're confusing a 996 with the collectable car market. The market is being driven up by people who have the clear funds to buy collectable cars, both in this country, and abroard.

10k will get you right into the very bottom of the usable 911 ladder, and IMO, it wouldn't be worth it's up keep!
You'd be better off with the best early Boxster, according to Porsche fans, they are a really good car to drive!

You can see the damage the Alpina manifold does the the inner wing/chassis! Ceramic coating will help with preventing this.

It has 1 or 2 marks from storage, you can see the stitching is coloured, I cant tell which is the green or blue, but that may be my eyes

It is a shame the car has got like this, unfortunately it's a victim of cirumstances!
The car is unusual as it has Alpina as the manufacturer on the V5.

It is still a gorgeous car, it's in the yard at work, and the staggered alloys still look awesome. I'm negotiating on a quite expensive car, so I can't justify the Alpina just sat there, so would sell, but if that falls through, I will keep it!
