Standard 318is Throttle Body - what to do with it?

I seem to still have the standard throttle body in my garage... should I give it to my brother to have big bore'd (e36 M42 engine though if there's a difference in throttle body)? Or would it be of any use to an E30 owner for some reason?

Ԛ£120 for the bb wasn't it?

Dot 5.1 brake fluid

Got a litre of this in the garage that I didn't use in one of my old cars. Beemer is going in for oil service and brake fluid change tomorrow, can I give them this to use?

you have to haggle with agreed valuation just as much as a normal insurance payout I've found, mine's agreed at 2k, which isn't bad for an iS I thought!

back to the calculator ->

hmm... so the bbtb has got to add 2-4 to the rwhp... could be an over estimate I guess, 2 sounds reasonable. It's certainly quicker anyway but that might be more through the rev range rather than top end.

Will be interesting to see

www.tdi-plc.com With the bbtb, decat and panel filter I'd imagine I'm running 150bhp, give or take 5 ish? My engine has 170k on it though else I'd be considering tuning it further. :giggle: At the fly mate? When it ran 128 RWHP last year, bbtb wont have added that much? Anyway, you are all losers -...

does it still have the plug on the end?

I can supply you the adapter if it does, or a universal iso plug that you can crimp/solder on. Solder preferably but most find crimping easier

Aftermarket mini tuners take the standard supercharger to 245bhp... that's with engine work though, 220 without. 170bhp sounds about right for a simple iS installation, obviously more money thrown at it = more power. (200bhp on mini is Ԛ£550, 220 is Ԛ£2k!) Throwing my original budget of 2 ...

check the fuel pipes going from the fuel filter to the fuel rail, usual culprits and nice and cheap as a bonus!

When you replace these crank the motor over with fuse 11 removed first. This turns the fuel pump off so means there is slightly less fuel in the pipes.

I don't understand the crack with the ST170's... I've beaten two now in my is. perhaps not convincingly by car lengths, but consistently pulling away. Won't comment on the distance left in the corners because that brings driver skill into the equation too much, he was taking some crap lines! Althoug...
