Re: Aluminium radiators?
That first one will be a twin 18mm tube, they are very good for the money, you would struggle to buy the cost of labour involved for that much in the UK. 100% Chinese built, the same as the likes of mishimoto and similar makes. Yep, just move the expansion tank, the top small bleed off also goes to...

Aluminium radiators?
I'm changing my rad. At the moment I have the standard e36 type with the side mounted expansion tank. I'm putting a supercharger on my m50b25 and there won't be room for the expansion type. I'm considering one of these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/172025043854 With this would I just run the botto...

Re: M50 turbo looking to ask a few questions
It's easy to raise boost on an internal waste gate but you can't accurately make it any lower than the opening rating on the actuator. Take a look at the Mac valves on efi-parts uk they can control both types of wastegates True. I'd overlooked that, but I guess it depends how much of a linner curve...

Re: M50 turbo looking to ask a few questions
I would just use the internal waste gate (actuator) if you can achieve enough boost from it? You can manually bleed it or ECU it to control your boost. If not then take it off, weld the tab and run an external one. Tial make very good westgates. I only have experience with Garrett and Kkk chargers, ...

Re: Fuel pump and regulator?
Brilliant, that's what I thought, but wanted to be sure as it's a pain to get to now it's bolted in. I'm having a right game with the cooling at the moment. I'm having to cut behind where the rad sits to make enough room for the IX radiator to sit!

Fuel pump and regulator?
I'm in the process of supercharging my m50b25 non-vanos. I have all the bits mostly bolted in place. What I need to know is.... I have 400cc RC injectors, but I'm guessing I need to upgrade the fuel pump and regulator as these are stock e36 items at the moment. What do you suggest?

Re: Hi-Spec brakes...
I have hi-spec calipers on mine. 15" rims is pushing it, but certain types do fit. I tried some Mim 1900's (et13) recently and they won't clear the calipers without a 10mm spacer, and with the spacer they fouled the inner arch on the turn in. Also wheel balancing weights will foul the caliper if stu...

Tyre sizes?
Sorry if this has been asked over and over, I did a search, but didn't come up with the answers I was looking for. I've just bought some 16 X 8 wheels with an et25 offset. I'm running a 60 / 40 drop and I may have to use 5mm spacers to clear struts?? I'd like a good tyre for fun road use and occasio...

Looked on the inside and my MIM's say made in England. Thanks for all the advise.

Re:
Have to say I did not find much of a decrease in comfort going to other way to you, I went from 205/50/15 to 215/40/17 which I was expecting to be a bit rough as they are practically a band of black paint compared to the 15" tyres. The smaller diameter of the 15" tyres might have been the deciding ...

mods: couldn't decied if this was technical or chat (bit of both) please move if not in the right place. They're MIM 1900's, not sure if they're genuine? How can I check, will they be stamped somewhere? So I've printed off the WMS .pdf for checking wheels to calipers and they don't fit :( I used the smaller disk option, but instead of my current problem these will rub on the edge of the caliper rather ...

Powerdyne S/C Purge valve?
I am about to supercharge my M50. I have recently bought this charger with pretty much everything else I need to complete the project. The charger originally came from Dinan with a purge valve (I didn't get this with the rest of the bits). There is no room on the e30 to fit this, so I plan to run wi...

Re:
Yep agreed. Ive heard some nasty stories from caliper grinding. Right so how badly do I want MIM's on my car...? The rears fit and look great, but even just moving the car round my workshop (flat floor) they slightly rub the arches. So I'm going to have to roll them. I guess a 60mm drop on et13 is j...

Tappet noise on startup
As per the title (only from a cold start) I get a loud tappet noise for about 5 seconds and then it's gone. I have the M50b25 non vanos from an e34 fitted in my car. I know these have hydraulic tappets, but I'm guessing they shouldn't make a sound on every cold start? No smoke on startup, no smell o...

I'd say £250 isn't an unreasonable offer for something that needs some work and isn't drivable. It's a good base point to start. If he wants more he'll let you know.

15" MIM's grrrr!
Managed to get a very nice set of 15" MIM's. So I thought quick change from my 17" team motorsports to the new rims would be easy........ I bought the car with the 17's but haven't enjoyed the ride and not to keen on the look. The MIM's went on the rear with no problem (325i rear discs), but on the ...
