E30 M3 Wheel Arches

Guys,

I notice in PBMW that when Scandinavians beef up their E30s they usually weld on M3 wheelarches to make the car look more potent. Has anyone in the zone done this as I am thinking of upgrading my 325i?

Apologies in advance guys but what is the M30B35? Sounds like a 3.5 and, if so, would it be much heavier than my 2.5?

There's also a non-evo M3 engine on ebay going for peanuts coz its needs bearing shells (supplied with the engine). With that and a bit of your mechanical nous it's 290bhp for no money.

What about converting to LPG and fitting a NOS kit? This way you'll get up to 250 bhp and it'll still be cheaper to run than a standard car. All for only Ԛ£1500.

Drifting - how and where?

Right then, who can show me how to get drifting and where does it happen? Are there official venues or is it a sport that happens ad hoc?

Help - Foot Rest

Guys Just got a footrest from BM World and it's basically a flat, rectangular plate with 4 screw fixings. I tried fitting it and although its flush on the left hand side, the footwell slopes away from the right hand side of the footrest and leaves about 3 inches of gap, with nowhere to screw into. H...

Re: Hijack

Touringdaddy

No problems with hijack but do u really need a rear strut brace in your mobile shed? Surely there's something else u can tie your dogleads to? :D

Rear Strut Brace - fitting

Don't laugh, but Sparco's instructions for fitting their rear brace have got me worried. They say "for race use, get a qualified mechanic to fit using correct bolts" or something like that. Now for the daft question - if I undo the strut nuts in the boot, my suspension's not going to fall off, is it...

So why does my tame spanner wielder (ex bmw) insist I use mineral based oil? He claims it is better for high mileage engines, is this true? I'm very confused.

pagid pads

Been watching this post with interest as I'm about to upgrade standard brakes on my 325 (to cope with occasional 50bhp NOS surges). What would you guys recommend for discs and pads, and should I also upgrade the calipers and brake lines?
