Re: and we're off !
Sad to see another e30 get sold, seems to be a trend on here. Is importing it to Germany really that bad? I'm an American so I'm not sure how TUV works for older vehicles but here everything is exempt from emissions inspection after it turns 25. If it's going I hope you can find a nice German one to...

Re: Swapping 2.0L m10 into BMW 316
Maybe I'll do something crazy in the future and do a B48 swap or something, I think that would be a good fit and it would modernize the drivetrain

Re: Swapping 2.0L m10 into BMW 316
I think I'll leave it as is, it would be a poor dollar & hours per horsepower gained

Re: Swapping 2.0L m10 into BMW 316
If I did modify the 2.0L though would that be worth the effort? I could dress it up fully then swap it

Swapping 2.0L m10 into BMW 316
I found a guy on Facebook marketplace selling a 2.0L m10 that he claims is from a 1979 car of some kind Would this be worth swapping my 1.8L m10 for? The only mods to it are a e21 320 intake manifold and a Weber 32/36 carb. Only thing is that the motor I'd be buying has been sitting in a storage uni...

Re: 316 Carb swap with electric choke?
Why would no fuel be getting to cylinder #3 if it's reaching the others OK? :? Perhaps you may have a blockage in the inlet manifold, and it's worth doing a compression check to see if all cylinders have similar compression readings; you may for instance, have a stuck/damaged valve on cylinder #3.....

Re: 316 Carb swap with electric choke?
I dont know of any electric chokes but the manual one is quite fine. I put mine where the useless headlight leveling system control went. Mart. My buddy is insisting I get an electric choke or water choke 32/36, The bolt pattern on the intake manifold is a bit of a mystery to me right now but my fr...

Re: Hello Everyone!
I will be posting on here a little bit, it's good to have super knowledgeable guys like you to talk to! I don't ever plan on selling it and I usually drive it with the top off in the sun. I'm moving to Rhode Island soon so I probably won't have it for a year or so but I'll get a garage as soon as I ...

316 Carb swap with electric choke?
I am looking to swap my wonderful Pierburg carburetor with a weber of some kind, No fuel is getting to cylinder 3 and the idle is really bad at this point. I want to retain the stock air cleaner and have an electric choke so I don't have to deal with that for if my family take the car for a cruise. ...

Hello Everyone!
Hi guys! My name is Daniel and I'm from the New York. I recently was given my grandfather's BMW 316 baur and I'm working on getting it into tip top shape! The car was bought in Germany from the factory by him and then kept in France for 20 years until he moved to the states. It has 90000 km on it an...
