Seat bolt
Morning. My last MOT revealed one of the screw bolts holding the seat backrest to the hinge has come out on the drivers sear and is now lost. The seat is therefore all wobbly on one side. I believe the part number is 07119907596. Visually that appears to be a match. It is hard to verify from the cat...

Re: Parts quote pls - 89 325i cab
Thanks Jon. I am not sure if it helps. There was a handwritten white letter R on the part when I took it out the bag and I only spotted the split after I had wiped that off. I assure you it is exactly as I took it out the bag late last night. I was out all day yesterday when this arrived. Thanks for...

Re: Parts quote pls - 89 325i cab
Hi Jon, I would like to order everything except the crank sensor as that appeared to just need a good clean. I also noticed the invoice you sent to itemise the pricing had a different hose clamp part number shown. The one I need is 18-24 and part 07129952109. The part number on the invoice was 07129...

Re: Parts quote pls - 89 325i cab
Hi Jon. I don't know that I am afraid. I'll have to look. But I do have the crank sensor attached to the front of the engine on the drivers side if that helps. I can see there are two different types, a long barrelled option and a shorter one. Mine is the shorter type. If you still need to know rega...

325i Auto Engine over-revving issue
Hi all, I am having some problems with my 89 325i Convertible. The car has been little used this year and since getting her out a few days ago, I have been having issues. The car starts, but seems to be idling a bit short on revs. It will sit quite happily and then all of a sudden the revs shoot up ...

Re: Engine wiring loom
Well I may have spoken too soon. Not sure if I should raise a separate post, but started the car yesterday for the first time in a few weeks. The battery had been dead and recharged. The car started OK, but was not running well, limping a bit. I tried to drive around the block, got a short distance ...

Hi folks, I have a 325i auto (non switchable) pre-facelift convertible and now down to the last albeit costly jobs still left to do. One of these is the main engine harness. It is in pretty poor condition with quite a few quite damaged wires that have been taped up and I am considering replacing it....

Hi Jon, I can see there was actually an instruction within the box. I can now see the top part of the new part can be orientated to fit and once in place it says to do up finger tight.
Appreciate the very fast delivery.

Hi Jon, thank you for that. I have seen pictures of two different looking units, one like mine with a grey top and the other a black top with what looks a brass nut on the top. Re: Parts quote please
Hi Jon, thanks for confirming.
I have checked the part and it has BMW 1386706 and Behr 90.944.04.009 stamped on it, so I am happy this is the right version for my car. It has started to leak.
I have sent the payment to you now.

Re: Central locking issues - Deadlocked 'open'?
OK, so I have removed the boot actuator and it is completely stuck in position. Pulling on these is not the answer. On the positive side, with this removed, I can now lock the boot! I can only assume something else is going on. Is it possible the CLCU has sent a 'deadlock' signal to the actuators an...

Hi, just an enquiry if possible.
What would the cost be to obtain a new key cut for my car. I don’t have any of the originals, only aftermarket ones.
I believe there is a standard key and one with a light unit.
Many thanks
