Re: 4 pot and 6 pot differences...?
We were not preaching we were defending drifting after someone asked a question which was drift related and you lot laid in to him for no real reason. I don't care if you like drifting or not, I just don't think when someone asks for help that you need to start abusing them and calling them a chav, ...

Re: 4 pot and 6 pot differences...?
Bah drifting e30's is fine, not so much at the higher level as the standard rear end layout isn't great but nice little capable cars and take abuse all day long if there looked after well.
I think pacerpete is on Trampdrift.com so maybe not sarcastic....

Re: Rear bush void fillers
Installed mine today, was a PITA only because one of the cap heads that bolt through the sill was rounded and I had to angle grind it off, other than that a really easy install. Be wise and WD40 the bolts the night before through as mine didn't look like they'd been touched since the factory 8O . Us...

Got mine this morning too, any suggestions on what to use to lubricate them with for fitting, assuming they don't just slot in dry.

Re: Coilover conversion wanted?
I'd be in for a set... So let me get this straight, for £150 you get a modified strut housing and spring, and you can use any shock of your choice for example I've got some Spax (non adjustable) up front. I take it this also applies to the rear, you can use any shock of choice, something like koni...

Rear shock choice
I've been running some spax non-adjustables for over a year now and there giving too much bodyroll. I use the car for drifting and it's too sloppy at the rear. I want some shocks with a short stroke and that are very stiff. I don't want to pay silly money so I was wondering what my options were?

Wheel Bolts
I've got some spacers to fit to the front of my e30 once my e36 rack goes in and I shim it up for some more lock. I know standard bolts are m12 x 1.5, whats the standard length as the spacers are 10mm and I need bolts roughly that extra. If no-one knows there some on ebay is the measurement of the t...

My car see's a garage once a year.... MOT and thats it. Last time I took my 306 (old daily) for a headskim and gasket, they somehow ripped the gearnob, put all the trim in wonkey and unaligned the steering wheel!

Exhaust Mounting
My current e30 (325i prefacelift 4dr SE) exhaust hangs very close to the floor (car lowered 60mm) about an inch from the centre box to the floor, so it smacks everything. I was looking around a friends 325i facelift and his exhaust sits flushly underneath the body of the car. I've always assumed the...

SI Board woes...
Being as my car was a pre-facelift 87' 325i se I assumed it would have the old Nic'd batteries in. When the temp gauge started to play up and the rev gauge started to stutter/stick a bit (engine was reving freely) I though they'd need replacing. So I bought a pre-facelift SI board from here, brand n...

In the e30 diff's there are seals in each output flange, these tend to leak on older diff's.

Quick question on rear ride height
I'm currently running some spax (non-adjustables) shocks and springs on a 60/40mm drop on my 4dr 325i SE. I don't have any rubbing problems on the rear but I want to drop it another 20mm. I'll more than likely just cut a coil off each of the rear springs. Only problem is I've got some quite a bit of...

Re: HELP! idle is at 3k!
Take off the ICV and give it a blast with some carb/brake cleaner. Make sure the vavle inside is moving freely.
This happened when I left my e30 off the road for a couple of months, it just froze up the vavle inside of the ICV.
