The car could be running rich and there are a few hoses that could do with changing. I’ll give that a go but would still be interested to know if anyone has attempted a cat retrofit.
Thanks for your input.

Re: Retrofit a catalytic converter
As much as I love my car, I can’t stand the fumes. Bit of a contradiction owning a classic but if there’s a possibility retrofitting a cat can make a difference then I’d be interested to know more.

Retrofit a catalytic converter
Hi,
Has anyone retrofitted a catalytic converter to their E30? I’ve recently had an OEM exhaust fitted so not looking to change that, but possibly fitting a cat if possible.
Thanks in advance.

Wanted: Boot Mat
Does anyone have the secondary boot mat that goes under the normal mat? It’s basically the one that goes around the spare wheel. Pic attached if it helps.

Re: OBC Issues.
The initial LCD was blown so I replaced it with a repair kit. I swapped the LCD and got this issue.I suspect it might be the conductive rubber. I’ll give the contacts a clean and see what happens.
Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Re: Auto gearbox stuck in first gear
Check to see if the kickdown switch compresses and expands when pressed. I had the same issue and it was down to a jammed kickdown switch. Removed it and sprayed some wd40 and it was good to go. The kickdown "switch" has no function except to give vague feedback to the driver. Even if it is stuck i...

This is a video of the proof of concept before I properly wired it. The check light panel wires have everything you need. I just wired up the turn on signal wire and power wire both to the check light 12v supply and also wired the ground to the check light ground wire. Just spliced into them. Check...

I gave that a go last night and the mechanism is smoother than what it was. Just looking to sort that annoying judder which appears as though the window is dropping before it lowers.
I’ll continue to tinker and see what happens.
Thanks.
