Hi all What are you guys using for repair panels. I've bought a couple off eBay now and I keep on ending up with the wrong ones, it says it will fit a preface lift convertible however they don't curve towards the rear as it does on the car. 20220302_190409.jpg The car's nearly ready to go to the bod...

Windshield seal removal

Hi all

I wanted to remove my windshield and the rubber as there is some surface rust around that area, do I need to remove the dash to take the seal out and to put it back in?

Thanks

Fuel breather. You can remove that hard line and terminate the breather up by the fuel filter. Just add a small piece of rubber hose there and job done

It's a job I've t do on mine shortly
What did you do with the tunnel it goes through towards the front

Re: 325i Convertible Project

There has been some work done over the last few months, the front wings were removed and the sills were stripped of their paint which showed some areas of rust. I have used Bilt Hamber deox gel on them repeatedly. I am still waiting to paint them in etch as my compressor was playing up. https://lh3....

Extra pipe to fuel tank

Hi all I have a metal pipe that goes from the fuel tank to the front of the car, at the front it joins to a rubber hose which does not go anywhere. It was sitting in the frame before I pulled it out. This connects to the fuel tank behind the filter. It's rusted more than the other lines so I was won...

I did attack mine with a foam gun and a jet wash towards the end as it helps get it properly cleaned. The steam cleaner seems to shift the dirt around. I had a big clean up job after though but it wasn't too bad, just a lot of mopping

Rust bits don't look too bad on the back. Might be able to get chassis cuts for those to save having to form pieces.
