have to agree its a bit harsh to judge an e34 on 2 litre auto. I imagine a 320i auto would be pretty slow as well.

was quite tempted by a 535i Sport I saw advertised for £800, probably falling apart for that price though.

If youre buying 95 then it shouldn't matter where you buy it. All the petrol stations in the same area will probably get their petrol from the same refinery.

A word of warning about the Elephant 10 month policies, I had one and found that the majority of insurers don't recognise it as a full years NCD. It seems only Elephant and Admiral recognise it. Every other insurer I phoned asked who my 1 years NCD was with, they asked if it was a 10 month policy, ...
